I think that the environment in which we dine is often just as important as the meal itself. The love and effort shown in creating a welcoming setting can often add great warmth and value to a gathering. It can be as simple as fresh foliage straight from your garden, music playing softly in the background as guests arrive, or scattered pillar candles to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Simple and meaningful. beautiful, yet low fuss.

One of the easiest and best ways to add ambiance to a gathering is music.

My husband Mike has created a playlist for just about every event. Christmas, dinner gatherings, parties, cocktail parties, and baby showers (yes baby showers!).

As the Christmas season fast approaches (woohoo!), I thought I’d share with you some of our favourites. As you will see we have quite eclectic music choices ☺. A few of my playlist highlights are David Ian’s Vintage Christmas, and anything Bing Crosby.
